Experience the Andalusian region of southern Spain, an area of exquisite beauty and rich cultural heritage. Our Spanish hosts have designed this CCE program to show us the highlights of the Andalusian region from an insider's vantage point. The itinerary has been developed with the aim of learning and sharing with people from other cultures while we explore together a region as amazing in terms of beauty and cultural heritage as Andalusia.

This year's tour included a rest day at beautiful Sevan Lake and a homestay with a lovely Armenian family.

Bamboo bike makers from Cuba and El Salvador were at the festival conducting demonstrations of the technique and building some new bikes. Some of the daily rides are paved and some are dirt.  The terrain is not very hilly.

Gold Coast to Sydney

A scenic cycle tour down the east coast of Australia, visiting iconic coastal locations. We stayed in both camping and cabin accommodation choices. Australian caravan parks offer 5-star facilities and accommodation.  People who opted to stay a week longer had the opportunity to visit Australia's capital Canberra and surrounding areas.

Italy, 2018

Venice to Pisa via Ravenna, Florence, Vinci and more.

A pleasure tour including city tours, historical and cultural aspects, good food, and tons of fun.

Cuba, 2017 and spring 2018

Some of the daily rides are paved and some are dirt.  The terrain is not very hilly.  Mountain bikes are ideal, especially if there’s mud.  It can rain but usually not for long and people are accustomed to providing shelter to travelers to wait out a downpour. The bamboo rental bikes are non-suspended and run 27.5″ x 2.5″ tires that are perfect for the terrain.

The route goes through the Galicia region in the northwest corner of Spain, north of Portugal, heading north and then west along the coast before turning south, inland and ending in Santiago de Compostela.

Armenia is mountainous country and participants must be ready for some climbs and descents. There will be a support vehicle and also a train from Yerevan to Gyumri and a truck to visit Trchkan waterfall.

Completely funded by Cyclists for Cultural Exchange. Participants are required to do volunteer work for Strawberry Fields Forever Bike Ride, the annual FUNdraiser for our exchange programs.
